Potenza combines microneedling and radiofrequency energy for pores, acne scars, skin texture and firmness. Made in Korea by Jeisys Medical, with Pore, Pumping and Diamond Tips selected around your treatment goals. Explore Potenza at Dermaster in Koreatown, Los Angeles.
Potenza is a radiofrequency (RF) microneedling device from Jeisys Medical, Seoul. Ultrafine needles carry RF energy into the dermis, where each pulse creates a small coagulation zone that the skin repairs with new collagen, so pores tighten, scars fill in and skin firms from the inside while the surface is barely touched. It is an MFDS-approved medical device in Korea and FDA-cleared in the United States, and it suits every skin tone in every season.
In Korea the conversation is about the tips, and Potenza has 14 of them: 11 invasive and 3 non-invasive. The pore tip (non-insulated needles) treats pores, acne scars, melasma-prone and rosacea-prone skin at depth; the pumping tip opens channels and pushes a topical such as a skin booster into them; the insulated and single-needle tips target fine lines and active acne; and the non-invasive Diamond tip delivers monopolar and bipolar RF through the surface for a lift on thin or sensitive skin. Each pass is set to monopolar or bipolar energy at 1 MHz or 2 MHz, with real-time impedance feedback and needle depth from 0.5 to 4.0 mm.
Engineered in Seoul by Jeisys Medical, approved by Korea's MFDS and cleared by the FDA, and treating all skin types year-round at Dermaster in Koreatown, Los Angeles.

After a topical numbing cream, the handpiece touches the skin and its needles enter to the depth your provider has set, anywhere from 0.5 to 4.0 mm in quarter-millimetre steps. RF energy travels through the needle tips, and each pulse creates a small coagulation zone in the dermis while the skin's surface stays protected; the device reads the skin's impedance in real time and corrects the energy pulse by pulse.
Those zones are what the body repairs: over the following weeks, new collagen and elastin fill them in, so the shadow around each pore fades, scars lift and skin firms. Because the energy is delivered below the surface rather than as light, Potenza works on every skin tone and can be done in summer as well as winter.
1. Four RF modes: monopolar (deep, wide heating) or bipolar (shallow, concentrated), at 1 MHz or 2 MHz
2. 14 tips: 11 invasive (pore, insulated, semi-insulated, pumping, single-needle) and 3 non-invasive (Diamond, DDR, SFA)
3. Pumping tip: a dual-air-chamber design that drives a topical deeper into the channels for skin-booster combinations
4. Needle depth 0.5–4.0 mm, adjusted for each area of the face and body
5. Real-time impedance check: the energy is corrected to your skin with every pulse
A topical numbing cream goes on for 30 to 60 minutes before every Potenza session. Most people then feel a warm prickling with some pressure rather than pain; the needling itself takes about 20 to 30 minutes for a full face, so plan on about an hour at the clinic. The non-invasive Diamond tip needs no needles at all.
Potenza is intended for use in dermatologic and general surgical procedures for electrocoagulation and hemostasis; treatment effects via soft tissue coagulation. Individual results vary.

Potenza suits anyone whose main concern is pores, acne scars or uneven texture, anyone who wants a skin booster to go deeper, and anyone with thin or sensitive skin who wants a lift without needles. It is safe for all skin types, including darker and melanin-rich skin. If you are weighing Potenza against Fraxel, Morpheus8 or a lifting treatment such as XERF or Density, our team will look at your skin and build a plan around it.
Pores & acne scars: enlarged pores, pitted or rolling scars and the uneven texture they leave; the pore tip's home ground.
Texture & fine lines: rough, dull skin that does not hold make-up, fine lines around the eyes and mouth, often with a skin booster through the pumping tip.
Melasma & redness: blotchy, melasma-prone or rosacea-prone skin, treated with the non-insulated and semi-insulated tips.
Firmness & lifting: early laxity on the lower face and neck, and a needle-free lift with the Diamond tip for thin skin; also active acne, syringoma and body areas by tip.
Key benefits of Potenza
Every Potenza pass is set to one of four RF modes, a tip and a needle depth between 0.5 and 4.0 mm, so the same handpiece can tighten pores on the nose, fill a scar on the cheek, carry a skin booster into the skin or lift without needles. Your provider reads the skin's impedance in real time and chooses the tip, mode and depth for each area.
Non-insulated needles heat the mid and deep dermis to rebuild collagen around pores and scars; the tip Korean clinics use most.

Opens channels in the upper dermis and pumps a topical, such as a Rejuran or Juvelook skin booster, into them for texture, glow and recovery.

A non-invasive tip that alternates monopolar and bipolar RF through the surface: firmness and fine lines for thin or sensitive skin, with no needles and no downtime.

Frequently Asked Questions
For enlarged pores, acne scars and uneven texture, yes: Potenza is the RF microneedling device Korean dermatology clinics treat as the standard for pores, and Jeisys Medical reports up to 60% improvement in texture, wrinkles and laxity after one to three sessions in a manufacturer-cited white paper. What it does is rebuild collagen around each pore and scar so the shadow fades; it does not "burn" pores away, and deep pitted scars may need a combined plan. Individual results vary, and our team will tell you at your consultation whether Potenza is the right fit for your skin.
One session gives a visible change in texture for many people, but the plans that work run three sessions or more, spaced about four weeks apart, which is the schedule Korean clinics use; pores alone often settle at three, scars can take five. Jeisys Medical notes that the number depends on your skin, so your provider sets it at your consultation.
Not much. A topical numbing cream goes on for 30 to 60 minutes before every session, and most people describe a warm prickling with some pressure rather than pain; the forehead and around the eyes are the most sensitive. Some tingling or a brief burning sensation during treatment is normal. The non-invasive Diamond tip uses no needles at all.
Potenza is priced by treatment area, by the tip used (pore, pumping or Diamond) and by the number of sessions in your plan, and we quote it at your free consultation. A full face is the most common session; face and neck together, or a combination with a Rejuran or Juvelook skin booster, are priced as their own treatments. Dermaster's monthly specials often include Potenza, so check the current promotion before you book.
Korean clinic aftercare guidance typically puts pore-tip downtime at one to three days of redness and warmth, sometimes with tiny needle marks, fine flaking or small scabs for a few days; the pumping tip often settles in a day, and the Diamond tip has no downtime. Pinpoint bleeding, mild swelling or a small bruise can happen. Wash gently the same day, make-up from the next day, and skip saunas, alcohol, hard exercise and scrubs for a week. Wear sunscreen while the skin recovers to protect against pigmentation, and do not pick any scabs. Your provider will review your history first; Potenza is not performed during pregnancy or over implanted electronic devices.
The pore tip has non-insulated needles that heat the mid and deep dermis, so it does the structural work on pores, acne scars and uneven texture. The pumping tip reaches the upper dermis and is designed to deliver a topical through the channels it makes, so it is the tip for skin-booster combinations, fine texture and glow. Many plans use the pore tip on the cheeks and nose and the pumping tip where a booster is applied; the tip is half the treatment, so we choose it with you.
Fraxel, which Dermaster also offers, is a fractional laser that resurfaces from the top down, so it can reach deep pitted scars but needs about a week of downtime and care with sun and darker skin. Potenza works from inside the dermis with far less surface damage, so downtime is a day or two and it is safe for all skin tones. Morpheus8, also offered here, is another RF microneedling device; Potenza adds four RF modes, monopolar or bipolar at 1 MHz or 2 MHz, and its pumping and Diamond tips. For scars that are deep and pitted, a combined plan is common; we will help you choose at your consultation.
Yes. Potenza delivers its energy through needles below the surface rather than as light, so it is safe for all skin tones and types, with a low risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation when performed by a trained provider, and it can be done at any time of year. The non-insulated and semi-insulated tips are also used in Korea for melasma-prone and rosacea-prone skin. Sunscreen after each session keeps that risk low.
Yes. That pairing is the Korean standard: the pumping tip drives a skin booster such as Rejuran or Juvelook deeper into the channels it creates, and Dermaster often bundles Potenza with Rejuran and Juvelook in the same plan. Combination is not always the answer, though; if your concern is deep scars, the pore tip alone may be the better first step. Ask at your consultation; the monthly specials often bundle them.
Skin usually feels smoother and holds make-up better within two to four weeks; the change in pores and firmness builds over the next one to three months as new collagen forms. Korean clinics quote maintenance at roughly six months to a year after a full course. Individual results vary.
